Restaurant Manager (Position available 01/03/12)
You will be a confident leader of the restaurant team at this luxury country house hotel with a fine dining restaurant and a growing reputation. You will have an eye for fine detail and be working alongside the senior management team. You will also ensure that each guest has a memorable dining experience.
Working pattern:
· Usually between 7am and 11pm according to the needs of the business
· Rota over a full seven day week to include regular weekend working
· Weddings may involve regular late working
Scope:
· Preparation of restaurant and conference rooms ready for service.
· Following correct health & safety procedures to ensure welfare of both staff and customers
· Full awareness of the content, preparation and presentation of all menu items
· Confident communicator with guests to ensure their complete satisfaction.
· Accuracy in all dealing with guests
· Service of food from kitchen and beverages from bar
· Accurate cash handling
Areas of responsibility:
· As directed by the Asst Manager to include:
· Service of breakfast, lunch, dinner, conference, bar, weddings and room service areas
· May be called upon at times to perform other duties which are not included in this job description
· Hosting/welcoming guests at all meal times
Salary:
According to experience
Holidays:
28 days pro rata to contracted hours
Bank holidays are normal working days
