Some people report physiological or psychological effects after being near crop circles and that the cellular structure of the plants has been changed as well as the composition of the soil. However, others are far more cynical. A report in the Guardian newspaper a few years ago said, ‘…By my estimation it took a team of six people approximately five hours to make, but quite considerably more to plan…’ However, no-one ever seems to be around when they are created. Apparently, they appear as if by magic.
You need judge for yourselves by spending a few days here in Wiltshire during the summer and where better to stay than at the country house hotel near the crop circles, Beechfield House.
A recent crop circle was described by astrophysicists as mind-boggling…"The tenth digit has even been correctly rounded up. The little dot near the centre is the decimal point. The code is based on 10 angular segments with the radial jumps being the indicator of each segment. Starting at the centre and counting the number of one-tenth segments in each section contained by the change in radius clearly shows the values of the first 10 digits in the value of pi."
If you’re interested, come and stay with us and we’ll point you in the direction of the most recent circles. Bring the family…we have rooms that will accommodate up to three children.
