I would like to thank you all for making my birthday celebrations so memorable. As you know I thought I was away for a quiet weekend – not so. What a marvellous surprise when I was shown into the lounge by you Maria, for what I thought was a cup of tea, to be greeted by a rapturous Happy Birthday from many of my family. Both my family and the staff at the hotel can certainly keep a secret. The whole weekend was so well co-ordinated we had our own family function room for meals, to watch the football and for a BBQ party on the Saturday evening when even more family and friends arrived. We were all a very mixed bunch ranging from one year olds to some in their 70's but we were all treated with respect and patience. You and the staff were so helpful and I am sure the weekend would not have been so successful without your co-operation. My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with you this Christmas. We had been so looking forward to getting away and it was such a treat to come up the drive to such a beautiful hotel. We were so pleased with our rooms, particularly the generosity of the manager to let us have the room next door as well. The staff were very attentive and friendly and all the finishing touches (like the Molton Brown in the bathrooms and all the beautiful Christmas decorations) really added to a lovely stay. Christmas Day lunch was absolutely superb and just the right amount too (well done!).
My only comments would be: The TV volume in the bathroom was extraordinarily loud if you weren't actually in the shower and we couldn't find anywhere to turn it down. The water in the bath / shower in the Lime room was always a little on the cool side. It was a shame that the spa treatments were not available because of the holidays. (Also, I may have left a pair of black leg-warmers in the desk in the Lime room - just let me know if you have found anything!)
But these dwindled into insignificance against the beautiful house, fantastic decor and pleasant ambience we experienced with you and we hope to see you again in the future.

We had really bad news before we came on our break and the atmosphere in the hotel was so special that we managed to forget all our worries and really relax and have fun. The kids really loved the outdoor pool, although I know everyone thought we were nuts for using it in October.Honestly, it waslovely! It was a real bonus to borrow the DVD's and player for the evenings. Wealso enjoyed our meal in the bar on the first evening, and the staff both morning and evening were very friendly and welcoming. All my friends said what a great place it is, how considerate, discreet and always to hand were the staff-how the furnishing in the main rooms were comfortable and inviting-and how splendid was the food for our special meal on Friday evening!

The Friday before last, my wife and I (plus baby) had dinner at Beechfield House in Beanacre. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty, yet like friends too. I've rarely felt so comfortable in such posh surroundings. They took our coats and invited us to sit in the lounge with its log fire while they took our orders. A short while later, our starters were ready and they helped us move to the table, which was one of about seven in a cosy dining room with candles and soft music. The food and service were superb and at a very reasonable price too. I thoroughly recommend it.

It is always difficult to get a hotel that accommodates a family of 5 that still offers a good quality room- that is exactly what you have offered. We would not hesitate to recommend your hotel to anyone and can not thank you enough for your friendliness and willingness to accommodate us in such a wonderful, warm atmosphere. We will certainly be back. It would be nice to see more of a vegetarian selection, especially on the children’s menu- pasta-bangers (Quorn) etc. but still went out of your way to ensure something was provided.

Over the last three months or so I have become quite attached to your hotel and looked forward to staying in my home from home. However, for the time being my work on the Corsham Project has come to an end for various reasons which means I have been moved over to another project in Gloucester. As much as I tried there was no way I could convince them to let me stay with you so it is regret that I leave the Beechfield House Hotel behind and move on to the next project. I would like to thank you all for making my stays very welcome and friendly, and not to mention enjoyable. It is nice to know there are still hotels out there that make your stay so comfortable, although I imagine James will be pleased he hasn’t got to move any more televisions around the building. I wish you all the best with the up and coming renovations and if I can help please drop me a line and I will see if I can help. Of course if I ever need to stay in the area I will be calling. Why can’t call rugby tours be like this? We have had such a lovely evening here! Charlie wants to live in Acacia “forever”. It is a delightful room. We have been very well looked after in Reception, Bar and Restaurant. Charlie’s steak the best he has ever tasted (And he is an expert on medium-rare steaks.)For me it’s the blend of elegance and cosiness that makes Beechfield special; especially the gorgeous bar. About to try out the new beds. Charlie’s nabbed the double – typical! No doubt very well rested, we’ll be off to Bath early tomorrow for some mud wrestling.

I felt that I must write to you following our very enjoyable Sunday Luncheon at Beechfield House yesterday. The feedback that I am receiving from our members that attended convinces me that they all thoroughly enjoyed the Beechfield House dining experience and I am under firm direction to make arrangements to repeat this in the not too distant future. From the very first contact to the last, our experience of this meal was entirely positive and complimentary to you and to you well trained staff. You obviously have a highly skilled chef and I ask that compliments be passed to him/her. Also, those who waited on tables were extremely efficient and made everyone of us feel that we were welcome. So often these days in the UK, one encounters waitresses and waiters who make you feel that you are a nuisance to them but this was certainly not the experience we had yesterday. We meet for fellowship meals regularly and move around the county for venues. We have therefore built up quite a large ‘portfolio’ of places to dine in Wiltshire. I am delighted to tell you that Beechfield House compares very favourably with the other establishments we have patronised. I shall be in touch with you soon concerning a further booking and we very much look forward to dining with you again.

When we started our search for our perfect special day venue we viewed 12 properties in total. Beechfield House was probably the third but instantly we felt welcomed and valued from the moment we arrived at reception without an appointment! Beechfield House for us, had everything we were looking for; from intimacy, fantastic surroundings and layout to the staff who strive to deliver perfection in everything they do. Our special day was on the 9th September 2006 and everything was perfect, we could not fault anything. Every single little detail had been taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. Our exacting requirements had been met and exceeded. The food on the day was stunning and delicious. We had 24 guests and took over virtually the whole hotel. All our guests commented on the stunning location, the food and the fantastic staff. We could not have wished for a more perfect day and we pass on our sincere thanks to all who make up the Beechfield House team, especially Lucy Konstam who had to put up with our constant bombardment of questions.

We stayed only one night at this lovely hotel but have already booked to go back for a short break next month. The setting in beautiful gardens is so peaceful. It really is like staying in an old country house and the fact that it is a bit worn round the edges adds to its charm. We only had breakfast on this occasion but it was delicious, freshly cooked with a wide choice. The menu for dinner looks good so we’ll look forward to that next time. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were delighted.

Many thanks for looking after us on Saturday night. The smoked haddock for breakfast was lovely. Special thanks to whoever it was on reception on Saturday afternoon, and his young assistant who gave our room such a good review, for the loan of the cufflinks, I hope they made it back to you ok and I’m sorry I couldn’t thank you in person. We told our friends at Shaw House how good you were and about the footpath straight across the fields/railway line/brook that linked the two properties, so hopefully you may get some more business if they have another big party.
