...appreciated by guests of all ages when visiting Longleat Safari Park or Longleat House. You might be interested in our popular Longleat Special Break.
Longleat House was the first stately home to open to the public and Longleat Safari Park, in 1966, was the first safari park outside Africa. Set in more than 900 acres of glorious parkland, landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown, Longleat is surrounded by a further 8,000 acres of woodlands, lakes and farmland. Longleat House is one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in Britain and, without question, one of the most beautiful stately homes open to the public.
Beechfield House provides arguably the finest luxury country hotel accommodation near Longleat and is popular both as a luxury retreat and a luxury family hotel in Wiltshire.
Voted ‘UK Family Attraction of the Year’ by the Good Britain Guide, Longleat now boasts not only the famous wildlife park but also the Longleat Hedge Maze (even satnav won’t help!), the Safari boats to see the sea lions, the Longleat Railway and, for kids, the Adventure Castle.
Of course, the house itself is well worth a visit with a superb display of treasures and heirlooms.
